According to the Islamic calendar, the 9th day of the last month of Dhu al-Hijjah is called the Day of Arafat. This day is significant in the Hajj because all the pilgrims must stop at Arafat field from the Zuhr prayer before Maghrib.
On this day, all the people who have gone to perform the Hajj cry and pray to Allah in the field of Arafat, seeking Allah’s mercy. So, if you would also like to know which prayers are recited on the day of Arafah, then let us tell you.
Dua on Arafat Day
Laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer.
“None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and all praise and He is over all things Omnipotent.”
This dua was declared the most critical dua on Arafat’s day. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Prophets before him (peace be upon him) have asked this dua on the day of Arafat.
2nd Dua for Day of Arafah
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireen
“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will certainly be losers.” (Surah Al A’raf 7:23)
